Expert Physio-led Pilates
Physio-led Pilates, sometimes known as Clinical Pilates, has been developed by Physiotherapists by modifying Joseph Pilates' original key exercises to support rehabilitation and enhance sports health.
At Reform, all sessions use a combination of full studio apparatus including our namesake, the reformer, alongside other pieces of larger and smaller equipment as well as mat work Pilates.
Pilates Initial assessment
All clients need to be fully assessed by a Physiotherapist before entering a class or a 1:1 session. This is in order to create a goal-led treatment plan targeting your specific needs. You and your Physiotherapist will discuss joining one of the following sessions:
Private (1 to 1) Physio:Pilates
1 to 1 Pilates sessions are the most closely, expert guided path to achieve your goals, with perfect technique and results. You will have tailored sessions incorporating matwork and machine based Pilates as well as access to Physiotherapy treatments if needed. Your Physiotherapist will monitor your progress and help to motivate you towards your goals with a home exercise programme to maximise your sessions.
Duo (2 to 1) Physio:Pilates
Just like a private above but you share the session with one other participant. You will have an individually customised programme incorporating matwork and machine-based Pilates. You will be provided with a bespoke home exercise program which will be progressed regularly by your Physiotherapist to maximise your sessions.
Semi - Private (3 to 1) Physio:Pilates
A 3:1 has more of a class feel to the session but you still benefit from a Physiotherapists expert knowledge and instruction. During the session you will be practicing with 2 other participants but you will all be completing individually selected exercises incorporating mat work and machine-based Pilates under a watchful eye.
